The Qubole Data Service (QDS) platform continually measures TCO improvements that customers are making by using features like Intelligent Spot Management, Cluster Lifecycle Management and Autoscaling. The QDS platform quantifies the usage of these features and the net result into a numerical score that represents the positive or negative deviation on cost after using these features, as compared to that company’s previously forecasted cost curve. The score is summarized for each month of 2020 and across the first 6 months of 2020, January to June. The cumulative score is used to compare performance on TCO optimization across different companies that use the platform.
