Today we reported some impressive stats on our growth in 2014. In short, last year was a phenomenal year for the company.
The amount of data our clients processed on Qubole in 2014 soared to 519 petabytes of data, compared to 34 petabytes in 2013. In fact, we’re now processing more than 100 petabytes per month. Customers logged more than 40 million compute hours on Qubole during the year, and the average monthly compute hours grew nearly 350% to 5.7 million per month.
These are extraordinary numbers that show
1.) How scalable our big data as a service platform is, and
2.) How valuable Qubole is to our clients.
One of the stats I’m most proud of is this: the time it takes to bring up a new client from the time we sign the contract to the live product averaged four days or less. This means our customers are realizing the full benefits of the most advanced big data technologies in days rather than months or years that deploying bare metal big data infrastructure can take.
So far, 2015 is looking even better. And we’ll be adding new features and capabilities to the Qubole Data Service this year to make it even more valuable to the companies we serve.
