Hi! Welcome to Qubole’s Notebooks

Today, we’re going to be showing you some cool functionalities of Qubole’s cloud-hosted Zeppelin notebooks. Some of you may have used this feature already, others may have used Jupyter notebooks running on your laptop, and some of you may not even know what a notebook is. Regardless of your previous exposure level, by the end of this session you’ll be ready to be a notebooks pro!

In today’s session, we’re going to talk about:
1. Accessing and manipulating data from the notebooks with Spark’s Python interface
2. Using the built-in Zeppelin visualization widgets for agile, iterative data exploration
3. Moving data from a Spark DataFrame to a Pandas DataFrame

7. Converting a Qubole notebook into a Qubole dashboard
